Biography

He graduated as a Public Accountant from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. He worked at the firm Galaz Carstens Chavero Yamazaki y Cía., representatives of Touche Ross & Co., in Mexico City. In 1978 he transferred to the Houston office of Touche Ross & Co., and in 1981 he joined KPMG in New York City, first as Director of National Operations and later as Director at the Latin American level at the International Executive Office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

In 1985 he returned to Mexico, to the city of Guadalajara, as Managing Partner of the Department of Comprehensive Services of Galaz Carstens Chavero Yamazaki y Cía. In July 1988, he founded J.A. Del Río y Asociados, S.C. For many years he was a speaker at the College of Public Accountants of Guadalajara. He has lectured on various topics in Mexico and the United States.
