Allowing employees and self-employed workers earning less than one statutory monthly minimum wage (SMLMV) to make contributions for periods shorter than one month. This measure, based on Law 2466 of 2025, authorizes the proportional payment of pension and family compensation fund contributions according to the number of days or weeks worked, using Contributor Type 51 in the Integrated Contribution Settlement Form – as its acronym in Spanish - PILA.

2. Furthermore, on September 22, 2025, the Ministry of Labor issued Circular No. 101, setting forth general guidelines regarding working hours compliance, overtime calculation, limits on supplementary work, and compensation for mandatory rest days, among other aspects.

  • Employee Rights and Guarantees: Reaffirms and clarifies employee rights, including paid rest on Sundays and holidays, as well as the right to participate in scheduling working hours.

3. Additionally, through Circular No. 102, dated September 22, 2025, the Ministry of Labor issued a notice regarding the procedure for authorizing supplementary work.

Notification Highlights:

Confirms that, following the entry into force of Law 2466 of June 2025, the Ministry no longer holds the authority to approve or authorize overtime work.

Clarifies that this circular serves as a complementary clarification to Circular No. 101 issued by the Ministry of Labor.
