On May 17, 2021, in the Official Federal Gazette, the Ministry of Economy published an amendment to the Decree by which the Decree for the Promotion of the Manufacturing, Maquiladora and Export Services Industry (IMMEX)  and the Decree by which various Sector Promotion Programs (PROSEC) are established.

 The modifications consist of eliminating the section about containers for compressed or liquefied gas, made of aluminum, classified as 7613.00.01 in Annex II of the IMMEX Decree and replacing it with tariff section 7613.00.99. 

Also, tariff section 7613.00.99 is added to article 5, section XIX of the PROSEC Decree, and the tariff section 7613.00.01 is eliminated in the same section.

 These modifications were made to provide legal certainty to foreign trade users by updating the new tariff section 7613.00.99 for containers for compressed or liquefied gas, made of aluminum, other than those for medicinal use created in the Tariff of the General Import and Export Tax Law in the Official Federal Gazette of February 22, 2021.
