Due to the recent disaster caused by Hurricane Otis in the state of Guerrero, the Instituto del Fondo Nacional de la Vivienda para los Trabajadores (National Workers' Housing Fund Institute) established, as an assistance program for workers, the possibility of making extraordinary use of the savings accumulated in the Housing Subaccount.

This extraordinary benefit will be available in the next few weeks, so it is important to pay attention to the official INFONAVIT channels to learn more details about this assistance plan. 

In order to apply, the following requirements must be met:

• Having minimum savings of $9,461.09 in your Housing Subaccount.
• Not having an outstanding loan with Infonavit.
• The house or workplace must be located within the affected municipalities.

It should be noted that, if workers request to use the savings in their Housing Subaccount, these funds can no longer be used for a future house loan or for when the employee decides to retire.
