Leonardo Gámez is a Certified Public Accountant from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. He holds a Master's Degree in Tax Strategies, earned with honors from the Instituto de Contadores Públicos de Nuevo León (Institute of Public Accountants of Nuevo León), as well as a Diploma in International Taxation from the same institution. He has further strengthened his professional background through specialized studies in U.S. taxation at the University of San Diego, California, and an executive program focused on leadership and management of professional services firms at Harvard Business School.
For more than 15 years, he has advised foreign companies seeking to do business in Mexico across a wide range of industries and sizes, including manufacturing, trading, IMMEX (maquiladora), construction, and service companies.
He has been a speaker on various tax-related topics at external forums and conferences in both Mexico and the United States. In addition, he has authored numerous articles on taxation and other topics related to tax compliance in Mexico.
He currently serves as the partner in charge of JA Del Río's Monterrey and Tijuana offices.
